Would anyone happen to have the wiring diagram for the dash and engine? Got it as a hand me down and its definitely been monkeyed with wiring wise. Trim/tilt wont go up or down(not even clicking over) so i'm assuming bad solenoid or fuse, same with the starter solenoid, can jump her just fine but power seems to be stumped somewhere.

Welcome aboard,

Always best to include any info you have on the motor / drive (serial #s) to get proper information in return. Over the decades motors get replaced so guessing that it's the original 2.5L Mercruiser 120 could be wrong.

The Mercruiser section here has lots of knowledge but in order to extract it you need the above info on your motor. Besides the wiring I have a feeling you'll be needing more assistance down the road with the motor / drive unit.

First place to check is the grounds on the battery, clean the connection to the engine block.Trim /tilt unit also has a ground wire to the block ,all need to be nice and shiny. If that fails then clean all connections on all solenoids,trim/tilt and engine starter. If engine fails to crank check neutral safety switch at throttle control.

Sorry i'm new to boats with engine like this I'm unsure what the NSS at the throttle control would look like, im assuming the throttle control refers to the throttle, if thats the case i dont actually see a button for that.
