I have a 68 Johnson 55 hp on a 68 Glassmaster inherited from Dad. It starts and runs great except when throttling up. It starts to bog down and will die unless I momentarily toggle the choke. Then it comes on and will run great as long as I don't go back to an Idle. Over all it is in Excellent condition. I have replaced reed valves, overhauled carbs, new power pack, coil, rectifier, fuel pump, upper wiring harness. I have also re-cleaned the jets. I have been working on this since last yearand got it running today. Hope to see the lake Sat.
