57 Evinrude Fastwin 18 Misfire. Whats Wrong?

Just got a 1957 evinrude fastwin 18. Its been sitting for awhile and a got it running but run good for about five seconds then misfires and most of the time just shuts of. any help would be great! thanks

Give it a tune up with new points and condensers. Clean the carb and it will likely run perfectly.

when running back the idle screw or nob on front of the engine out (left) at a little at a time and wait for the engine to respond. This is called a lean sneeze. if the motor doesnt respond to adjustments the carb needs to be cleaned.
