'55 Johnson 25 HP same as '56 Gale 25 HP???

Does anyone know if these use the same parts? I read that the Gales were usually 2 years behind the OMC motors. I think I can get a parts manual for a '55 Johnson 25 and would use it for working on the Gale Buccaneer.

The motors are different enough that the Johnson manual will not work.

Gale's are great motors.

by 1955 they were not much different so a Johnson manual will be of help. There will be little differences, but not much. Not so the parts book.
