5.0gxi-gf circulation pump pulley bolt size??

Volvo penta 5.0gxi-gf
I need to remove the circulation pump pulley. I’m hoping to find out the size of the bolts before I get there. Bolt serial number is 3863054

I do not recall exactly, either ½ or 9/16 or a 12, 13 or 14 mm and I do not have access to my boat to check. What I do these days is take a few wrenches with me and try until I find a fit > it been a long while since I was working as a full-time mechanic and could look at a bolt and know the size (this was all pre-metric of course).

So, I gotta ask, why cannot you take a few wrenches (or sockets) with you to determine?

Thank you. it was a shot in the dark. I was attempting not to go all the way home to get my tools. I would stop and grab a wrench or two at the store. while I was handling something else I figured I would see if anyone knew. Worth a shot.

SBC water pump pulley bolts are 5/16-24

that is a 1/2" wrench size if you were looking for that...

Unless it's flanged head fasteners, then it's 7/16 or 1/2

Also, unless you have freshwater cooling, if you are replacing the circ pump be sure its marine grade and not automotive. See link

oh yes. i got all pulleys oem. this one pulley I want to save. water pump seal let go and coated engine in salt

The bolt size was in fact, 1/2 inch. Thank you for saving me a trip!
