Engine runs fine until will anchor/stop for an hour, starts up but after around 200 yards, it starts to sputter then dies. There is an odor of gas when that happens. After that it is very hard to start, usually have to wait a little while then hold the choke closed then it will start and runs fine the rest of the day, pulling skiers, tubes or just riding around but if you stop again to swim, it will do it again. Last year, two non boat mechanics said it sounds like the coil since it is getting gas. Any thoughts?
