4.3 mercruiser 1987 weak turn over

So i took the boat out to tune it and got there and its cranks over but slowly. My question is. Is the selonoid on the starter or its the small one buy the fuse?

Not just cranks slowly. Like really slow.

It does not turn over fast enough for it to start

Start at tvr battery and clean every connection from the battery to the block to the helm, by clean, 150 grit sandpaper clean to where your mother in law woild eat off them

Ayuh,..... I'm with Scott, probably bad corroded power or ground connections,....
