4.3 Engine swap

Hi, my name is Tyler, I am 17 and I have a 2003 MerCruiser 4.3 with casting block 090M that the piston came apart and put a hole in the cylinder wall, I have a 4.3 block with casting number 090. I plan to rebuild the engine with the new block, new camshaft, piston, rods, etc. Has anyone done a this? Will everything match up? The M stands for metric so I will need to use new standard bolts right? Anything I need to know?Thanks for you time, Tyler.
