Has anyone ever used this? It apparently contains no petroleum and is silicone based.

Here's the companies write up:

Lexol Vinylex
Introduction:

LEXOL VINYLEX is a patented liquid vinyl protectant intended for use in the care and conservation of vinyl, rubber and plastic. Its purpose is to clean, protect, renew, preserve and improve the appearance of the polymer surface being treated. LEXOL VINYLEX is a new, state of the art patented protectant including a DH60 UV sunscreen Other vinyl protectants on the market have tried to imitate LEXOL VINYLEX, trying to copy it while staying away from possible patent infringement on its formula leading to poor imitations of our product. These protectants do not penetrate to clean, preserve or protect the vinyl, rubber or plastic material anywhere nearly as effectively as LEXOL VINYLEX.
Lexol Vinylex Performance Characteristics:

LEXOL VINYLEX cleans the vinyl or rubber surface while it is being applied, reducing the time required for application. This cleaning reduces problems associated with other competing products and protectants; for example, ?bloom? which a discoloration from dirt that is held mechanically in suspension.

LEXOL VINYLEX contains a unique patented composition of silicone and organo-functional silicones specifically designed to provide the desired performance and appearance along with special emulsifiers that cause the formula to ?break? on application. This release (?break?) on application contributes to the performance of the composition and facilitates the proper distribution of the LEXOL VINYLEX ingredients.

VINYLEX also contains DH60 UV screen. This sunscreen is emulsified in the formula and is released on application to provide a substantial measure of protection from the harmful effects of ozone, ultraviolet radiation and other environmental degradation of vinyl, rubber and plastic surfaces.

Applied correctly, VINYLEX does not require multiple applications, as most competitive products do. LEXOL VINYLEX delivers superior performance the first time, every time. LEXOL VINYLEX leaves a clean, renewed surface that has the look preferred by professionals. It is not too oily, and never too dry. Just a natural look and feel that is preferred by restoration professionals, hobbyists, collectors and automobile owners alike.

VINYLEX is designed to be used on vinyl, rubber, and plastic as found on cars, boats, planes, and motorcycles, as well as other products around the home.

In summary, LEXOL VINYLEX is a high performance protectant and UV screen that cleans and penetrates vinyl, rubber and plastic to provide maximum protection and that ?showroom new? appearance.

Re: 303 or Vinylex...

The description has a "snake oil" ring to it. I'd stick with the 303 which is a quality product that I know works.
