I have rebuilt and installed a 3.7 190hp.

1) - Does anyone have a picture of the sparkplug wire configuration to the distributer. I have it set up to the manual but i think it might be set up wrong. Manual says Front of motor with a diagram that does not realy match the engine configuration.
2) - I am upgrading to pertronics. If my original coil is no good can i use the Pertronix coil with the points for trouble shooting.

Any spot on the distributor could be set up as #1. If your just now setting the distributor in the engine, you'll want to set the timing tab so the mark on the harmonic balancer is at 4º before top dead center on the tab, on the compression stroke for the #1 cylinder. Then drop the distributor so the rotor is pointing exactly at whichever post you decide to make #1. Mark the body of the distributor with a sharpie marker just below the distributor cap centered on the post. When you pull the cap off to see the rotor you can align the rotor with the sharpie mark. Set the distributor in the engine and tighten it down. Your timing will be spot on when you start it up. You may have use a long flat screwdriver to move the oil pump drive shaft at the bottom of the distributor a bit either way until you get it aligned up. Firing order is 1342 with clockwise rotation of the dizzy.

The black wire from the distributor goes to the (-) terminal on the coil. There's also a black ground wire on the electric choke, and a black ground at the shift interrupter switch.

So the choke wire is a double wire. At the same spot in the harness an addition black wire that has 12v is present. Its the same length as the choke double wire choke. Its certainly not long enough to get to the coil , or any where else for that matter.
i will take a picture and post tonight. Just to give an idea of length etc.
