Ok first of all i would like to let you guys know what i have done to the boat first.
I changed the oil and filled it up with 10w30 castrol, the old oil was burned real bad, black and almost as thick as water.
Second i replace the diatributor and rotor and i bought the shunt for the timmimg, everything as far as timming is good.
Now the problem or maybe im just been paranoic is that whrn i give it a little gas just a bit it revs up real high and i quickly have to ease up on and bacj to N.
Also there is a real loud ticking coming from the valve cover.
Im tire with this boat guys please let me know what i can do.
I thought adding a bottle of lucas additive for the ticking but what about the revving real high.
I put it in the water and it sounds like it revs up high but doesnt put that much power out.
Please let me know what to look for i have a manual.
