good afternoon,
i am installing a 2nd depth finder at the bow of my alumacraft navigator 175. the first is mounted in the console with the transducer attached on the starboard aft end. question: can i mount the 2nd transducer in the aft as well or do i/should i mount it on the bow trolling motor?
thanks

Re: 2nd transducer

Mine is on the troller, tamer. I want to know what's under the bow, not what is under the stern.

Be aware that it you plan to run both Fish finders at the same time and they are on the same frequency then they must be as far away as possible from each other.

Example 19 foot bass boat I fish out of has a 200khz 20 degree transducer on the stern and a 200khz 20 degree transducer angled slight foward on the bow trolling motor.

Both units will work together with no interference until we get to 30 feet or more depth then both get interfeerence from the other so must turn the console unit off.
