270 ujoints alignment.

my u joints are hitting the side of the bellhousing in side the bellows and making a very bad clicking noise. SO I am pretty sure my alignment is off. I am using the three tabs and have it all within 10mm or so ,... Is there any thing else that would cause the u joints to hit the side of the bellhousing?

The shaft bearings and seals are all new and the yoke is on the shaft firm I can not move the prob when in gear...

The ujoints are binding and hitting the port side of the bell housing

You don't have the drive tilted all the way up and trying to run it are you?

No I didnt. I found it. The bear and shaft in the bell house were not seated all the way. We are good.

that alignment is a bear.

Make sure you double check to make sure there is no damage from the previous miss alignment.

That is my fat fingers trying to type on my phone. One of the snap rings int he bellhousing did not seat right so, the shaft had moved forward and to the port side. So, the ujoints were rubbing all is fixed and well. Now I just need to replace the solinoid or relay going to the start and she is sea worthy.
