270 exhaust flapper

Lost my flapper (in scag) last year. Have seen posts saying replace and don't bother?
Can't imagine it was there for decor. And they don't seem to be Avilable.

Any in put would be great. It's a 84 bl w/aq 125.

lost mine about 2 years ago now, haven't missed it one bit.

If you would like to replace it, you are looking at ebay or cutting a thick piece of rubber and riveting it on.

Your right it's there for a reason.
Replace it.
The one in the pic looks like the rivets are about to break or come loose.
A piece of hard rubber(side wall from a small radial tire)cut to size.

grain conveyor belting works well too. you can get it from mcmaster.com
