The 40 HP models are very good.---The electric shift models came with a 10 amp generator,---Some will argue.----The electric shift is very good , simple and reliable.----The 40 HP was the same powerhead from 63 to the 1970 models.

So Jim, that is NOT the original prop for the lower end of that boat engine?? also that is NOT the original engine for that boat?? oh jeez....

No, that is not the Prop that was shipped with the Engine. Personally, I think no Prop should shipped with any engine over 8 hp. All Props should be selected upon Motor installation.

I can't say how many times the Engine was swapped, but the Evidence is there, that it at one time, had a Mercury Outboard on it, 50hp or more, with Power Trim
