Hi All,
Upgrading my 2016 Sylvan 22' Mirage 220 Audio System. I plan on mounting this Kicker MWF where the changing station door is (this has been a waste of space and wish we never got that accessory). This subwoofer weighs around 17 lbs - unsure if I'll need some sort of backing plate on the backside where it is mounted? I'm not currently at my boat - assuming this door where the changing station is located is made out of some cheap plywood and wrapped with vinyl.
Any suggestions appreciated - having a hard time finding HDPE locally or even Marine Grade Plywood in case I had to mount to the backside of this door for support.
*Note - this is not a picture of my pontoon, but very similar and the exact same changing station door design.
