Re: 22' Starcraft Mariner rebuild

Nice job. I'm looking to do the exact same job this coming spring. The Mariner that I've owned for some time now was actually gone over once by the prior owner back in the late 90s, but due to storage and non-use, mine has kind of aged agressively. Mine needs a new console for sure, and probably new decking while I'm at it. What actually holds the decking in place? Are there cross-stringers underneath the flooring? My plywood decking is screwed down to I believe aluminum cross-stringers. What are you going to re-deck it with? I've been often curious about using composite decking like used on a porch, however most guys put the marine plywood back in place. Is the original float foam adhered to the hull in any way? What're your plans for the console. I'll be either building a new one, or if I can find a salvaged fiberglass one for cheap money, I may go that way. Lots of questions, but I liked taking a look at your pics. I know a few other guys have posted re-builds of Mariners on here in the past.

Thanks!!
