Re: 20hp mariner no high revs ???

Try pumping the fuel primer bulb while it's running. If that helps, you have a fuel problem, if not, it ain't. And check to be sure it's not being sucked flat.

Chris..................

the fuel primer bulb is as hard as rock cannot
pump more fuel in, this is after first prime to
start motor and while the motor is running .Its not being sucked flat while running .
Peter.............

Re: 20hp mariner no high revs ???

I have been reading some off the other postings
and have found these
Loss of RPMs while under load
Mercury 50hp-500 power loss at WOT
mercury 30 (No power at Full Throttle
all off these posted problems appear to be the same as I have and every one that posts a reply
seem to think its a fuel problem. But when you
read all the above posts and see how many things in the
fuel system we have checked / change and still
have the same problem,!! it makes you wonder if
its fuel. Because there is so many with this problem maybe sum of the machanics would take
up the challenge!!!!

Obron-

I have a similar problem and also think it is electrical. Are you having any problems with you gauges or trim working intermittenly? I do and think mine could be related.

hi kickinchicken .downloaded file still lost on
how to check stator help.
hi bshores, I do not have any gauges or trim on my boat so I do not have that trouble . I would check
all negative/earth leads that could solve your
problems . sorry for being so long been away.
