Hi everybody,
I have a 1985 20hp Johnson outboard (manual start). Recently I've noticed that the throttle (which is the twist tiller handle) gear is not meshing properly and causing the tiller twist throttle to slip. When I push the handle backwards towards the cowl, the gear moves back a little and meshes better while I hold it there. Is there any way I can put a shim in the handle etc. to mesh the gears properly? Everything else is working perfect.
Thanks a lot.
