Unfortunately AD Sandy Barbour gave him a sweet deal that makes it cost prohibitive to fire him now. She gave him the deal and then retired. PSU can’t afford to give him the boot.
yesAre their careers that pathetic that it's come to this.......
Sweet deal is an understatement. For Franklin , not so much for PSU. Franklin needs to pull a double digit season out of his arse this year which won’t be easy and just won’t happen if they dont majorly improve the running game and beef up the line on both sides of the ball. Clifford can’t be expected do it all and that was apparant last season. Need to take some of the pressure off the kid. Getting back to Franklin, was never a big fan.Unfortunately AD Sandy Barbour gave him a sweet deal that makes it cost prohibitive to fire him now. She gave him the deal and then retired. I agree but UCLA AD just said it was happening.Give me a break, no thanks......
It's official: USC, UCLA to leave Pac-12 and join Big Ten in 2024
The move, slated for Aug. 2, 2024 for the two Los Angeles-based universities, comes on the heels of Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.sports.yahoo.com
So what happened to the PAC12, do they have financial issues? Bigger tv market over here? No doubt it's $$$$. B1G is doing something right... B1G will stretch coast to coast....I agree but UCLA AD just said it was happening.
It's $$$$$$$$$$
Big10+6
It is amazing that UCLA would want to join such a weak Conference as the B1G! A lot of logistical nightmares for the non-football/basketball sports, but hey, the BTN/Fox gets into the LA market. I foresee Washington and Oregon being the next B1G additions ... the research, the markets ... definitely a fit.I agree but UCLA AD just said it was happening.

Actually the Big16 wanted more of the LA marketSo what happened to the PAC12, do they have financial issues? Bigger tv market over here? No doubt it's $$$$. B1G is doing something right... B1G will stretch coast to coast....
They messed up their media outlets and distribution from the sound of it. USC & UCLA stand to make double in the B1G from what I understand. Going to make for some tough travel form the West Coast though. And it's not just football either - their tennis teams are going to have to go to Rutgers in the middle of the week for their matches too.So what happened to the PAC12, do they have financial issues? Big10+4+2big 16??
Although, compared to going to Pullman Washington(Washington State), not sure if the trip is any longer time wise. They messed up their media outlets and distribution from the sound of it.
