Sounds like it was a heck of a race. Did Joey punt Bubba?
Almost everyone was punting everyone. Except TWT, he was usually the puntee or caught up in a punt.
It isn't aggressive driving as much as the rules. The junior series don't allow locking bumpers, yet Cup does and that in itself caused much of the mayhem. So many times yesterday the pushing wasn't square and the lead car was spun.
The other thing is the package used on super speedways. All it does is reduce top speed, but cars can't get out of their own way. When a car is trying to get back in line in front of a couple of hooked up cars, the open gap is closed so fast that a wreck is inevitable.
One other thing is the way the lead car blocks. I think there used to be a rule about blocking and it has gone by the wayside.
I've said before and I'll say it again - The way to slow down cars is by changing the rear end ratio or use rev limiters, not by choking the intake with plates or whatever Nascar is calling them now.
They won't admit it, but Nascar made this mess, not "aggressive" driving.
