Im waiting for the final engine tear downs in case the Gibbs teams were stretching the rules.

I think I heard that Gibbs drivers or won 18 races this year coming into this race and this makes 19. It's called an even playing field.

It was too much to hope for, but Nascar let the #18 pass inspections.

OK I won't be able to have a peaceful winter without knowing who "The Twerp" is? Yep you guys have told me before this time I am writing it down.

What do you NASCAR guys do on weekends (edit: to fill your sports need) now that the season is over? I feel for you all, especially WIMUSKY. There is a huge fan base for NASCAR here locally. All races are on at the local Canadian Legion in Hagersville every Sunday. The place gets packed. Many guys have that reverse 3 on thier 4X4' somewhere. The only thing that gets me through to Feb. is the NFL. Everyone knows not to call, tweet, text , email or send smoke signals past 1PM on Sundays, until after midnight on Sunday, Monday night and Thursday nights. I actually watch the Pro Bowl. All are more than welcome to come to our place and join me, no talking. I remember the Bills winning the AFL Championship watching it on my Nani's little 12" circle TV. If you didn't listen, watch or cheer on The Bills on Sunday afternoons in North Tonawanda NY, Mom's hometown, no supper for you.

Kyle Busch is The Whining Twerp, or Twerp for short.

And Iron, I am much more a Football fan than a NASCAR fan. I prefer college ball over the pros, but colleges don’t play in Sunday’s ...

Congrats to FC on winning the season. I have no need for rib bones after running over so many this year.

Hint - The Whining Twerp has 2 big trophies.

Now I know who won, thanks all. I won't type his name on this thread as a gesture of Canuck respect for you all and especially our Peach Tree friend. And I have never liked his bombastic personality and driving style and attitude either. My family from Atlanta told me years ago never mention the name Sherman anywhere near Atlanta or Georgia, I'll add the twerps name to that list.

Oh, Oh. I just read the name I can't say here in Atlanta.

Wonder if Richard Sherman is overly cautious when visiting to play the Falcons? :watermelon:

I'm surprised if he wears his name on his jersey in Atlanta. Has he ever played there I wonder? I once asked a retired 49er during a charity Golf thing who played 8 years in the league how he liked playing in Buffalo? He said he had never been to Buffalo.

Closing out the 2019 iFL season;
  • Jeff Gluck's race poll results
    • Was Homestead a good race?
      • 30 percent of you said Yes.
      • Lowest Homestead race in the poll (Other Homestead races got 86%, 82% and 68%).
      • Worst intermediate track race of the season (previous low was fall Texas at 45%).
      • Tied for 10th-lowest race of the last four seasons.
  • FOX will have a 2 man booth, Mike Joy and Jeff Gordon, next year.
  • Homestead TV ratings - A 2.2 rating and 3.7 million viewers for yesterday's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup, down from a 2.5 rating and 4.1 million viewers for last year's race.
  • Cup Series averaged 3.3 million viewers for the ’19 season across Fox Sports and NBC Sports, essentially flat compared to the ’18 season. NASCAR was cruising toward an overall uptick for '19 until big drops in the final two races of the year flipped the script.
  • How did FlaCowboy win the 2019 iFL?
    • Regular season wins - 5 races.
    • Playoff wins - 2 races.
    • A dump truck load of rib bones
    • A tanker truck load of BBQ sauce.

The final race in a nutshell. An M&M peanut shell?

Over and out until February for the unsponsored Nascar Cup Series and JJ's swan song.

Heard JJ is calling it quits after next year. What booth will he end up in?

Do you really want that? I know I don't.
Probably have to wait until late in next season to see where JJ ends up.

You know the answer to that, but since the Waltrips were so far up NASCARs butt I thought it would be given that Mikey would take over the reigns....
