Just did refit and fitted new marine stereo 2 x 200watt speakers as well as running garmin Gps and sounder. Battery is rapidly being drained of power. Engine eventually stops and unable to start until battery is recharged. Never had problem before with original stereo and still running same sounders etc. Is this just a process of elimination ? And taking each appliance out of the circuit until we find problem? Sounds like the sound system may be the Culprit? Any help appreciated. Forgive my very unknowledgable explaination.
Thanks

Sounds like you are losing battery power while the motor is running??? IF so, you've wired something wrong. Are you rapidly losing battery power when the motor is not running and 1) you have no accessories turned on, or 2) motor not running and you have your accessories turned on? Are you also losing power if you have the motor running with no accessories turned on? Yes, the process of elimination would help (turn on one thing at a time untill condition changes). Do you have a V/A meter? It'll save you a ton of time determining what is drawing down your battery. I'm sure others will chime in with more detailed help.

11. Please do not post multiple threads in multiple forums about a single problem. This is confusing to those trying to help you. Multiple threads in the same forum about the same issue are also confusing. If you want help fast, one thread in the most closely related forum is the best way to get it.
