When I trim the engine in, engine comes to a stop, but the trim motor keeps running until I release the button. Faulty switch? Where do I look for it?

Come to think about it, the boat did not come with a trim angle gauge. Is there a way to hook up an aftermarket one? I suspect the sender is already there.

Yeah, I have Seloc manual, but since it covers 2.5-250 hp models, it's darn near useless here. Are there model- or at least family-specific manuals out there?

Thanks!

I do not believe there is a switch that stops the trim motor at the fully down position.---There is a switch to limit how high the motor trims.----Needed on some boats to prevent damage to motor cowling and boat.

on my 75 etec the extreme down position strains the T&T pump and the sound changes to a higher pitch telling me it has reached the extreme down position..... I then release " the button"

That works fine on a trailer, but I can't hear trim motor over the engine on the water.
