Looking for recommendations for primer (does it need to be Zinc Chromate?) and top-coat. Model# E175MFXSOS
What type of primer is recommended and what about top-coat if the original is not available (351469)? Would like to use a Flat-Black...
Are any Rustoleum products acceptable?

Zinc Chromate is the best for all aluminum. I have used self-etching primer which is avail at home stores. It is pretty good.

If you want a good job use a some Rustoleum marine enamel and spray it. Otherwise, rattle cans work OK.

Wrong paint number….0351066. Readily available from a number of retailers

Zinc Chromate primer is THE answer, but its a health hazard and not available everywhere. Etching primer works "almost" as good.

Thanks for the reply but, that number (0351066) is Black, I'm looking for Grey.
