Totally awesome the engine is running normal again for you.👍

So please, in detail, what did you find to be the actual problem as knowing that type of info afterwards helps many, many others including the members here trying to help you too.😉
Thanks.🙂

After reading Muc’s reply, we looked for the hull thru that we would attach the Fake a Lake to. We found it and the Sea ****. As he pointed out in the photo, we had been running 1 hose with ear muffs at the back thinking we were running water correctly. Every local mechanic and every forum I posted on before this one made us out to be idiots that we didn’t know what an impeller is, that it’s impossible to have 2 impellers, etc. We may well be ignorant of several things about this boat, but we know for sure what an impeller is and that we had changed 2 of them. Twice. Once in 2020 and once this summer. The difference is we put the boat back in the water in 2020 to test it. This year we attached the ear muffs and it was still heating up because we weren’t using a Fake a Lake on the hull thru. The impeller that’s a nightmare to change was not getting any water. Unfortunately, we had run it several times that way while trying to figure it out.
We pulled it again, changed the housing and impeller both (they looked ok, but we weren’t chancing it again) and put the boat into the river. Temp stayed at 170 or below. Even towed a fellow boater into the dock that was broken down. Thank you all so much.
Annette (Ralph’s wife and the google partner of this team) lol

Truth be told I've fallen asleep in that position dreaming the impeller was already done when woken up by someone asking, is it done yet.o_O :D

Thank you, I/we all wish every post would end with a detailed resolution such as this...It helps everyone even years from now. Chances are this thread will have 5K+ views should you go look for it years from now. ;)

It takes experience to watch out for the use of 2 impellers possibly being used either in the field or in a forum in which we've caught happening here before on iboats, 'so glad you came here for additional help. We all try to work as team to help each other as one can't do it all, all the time.

Happy boating.
