2004 Johnson 3.5 running bit groggy

Hello all from N Ireland Just picked up a 2004 Johnson 3.5 2 stroke outboard Model J3RSRE . on running it in my test tank its seams a bit groggy, also in gear at a set throttle it seams to rev up and down slightly ? don't know how long the fuel has being laying in it though.

freshen up the fuel, have a look at the condition of the plugs. modern fuels do loose there punch rather quickly.

Might want to try some fresh fuel mixture in it. Make sure to flush all the old fuel out of the system.

Thanks guys fresh fuel and new plug seams to have done the trick.
