2003 40HP yamaha outboard 2 stroke

I have a 2003 40HP yamaha outboard 2 stroke I am trying to install a digital tach. Had problems with wire schematic, need to know what wires to conntect from 703 controls to tachometer and also tachometer harness to engine wiring.
Control displays power tilt angle temperature warning, oil quantity, tachometer display, RPM display.

Any help would be appreciated.

my engine # is 40TLRC 2003, my Tach is digital yamaha # 48S or 488. My control is a 703 yamaha.

thats actually an 04 production run oil injected 40.
but post it on the yamaha forums, this forum is not for tech questions on engines. on the yamaha section we will be happy to assist you.
