2001 18ft with 3.0 question

I'm looking at an 01 18 ft Maxum with a 3.0, how fast will this boat go? Will it be a slug with a 3.0? i don't water ski,maybe pull a tube and do some fishing. asking price is 8,000. sound fair?

I have a 3.0 L gen 1 18 ft that'll hit 42 w/ just skipper on glass and trim just right...
