2000 Suzuki DT 115

Does anyone know how to clean the speedometer pick up hole on a 2000 Suzuki 115. I blew compressed air through the line and the speedo works so I can only assume the pick up is clogged.

did you blow compressed air from the otherside outwards? If that doesn't work maybe your motor is mounted in such a way that it does not get enough water pressure ....

Hmmm, I didn't think to try that.....I did blow out the pick up hole though. As for pressure it worked the first two years I had the boat, bought it brand new in 2000.

Is it serviceable if the lower unit is removed?

yes it is serviceable .... but first try to blow out the line all the way out ... as it is so easy for it to get blocked my bugs crawling up there ...
