Can someone walk me through changing this out. I just rencently purchased this motor and I would like do the maintaince now. I am pretty handy and have a shop full of tools. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
It might also be good to have a service manual handy. Sometimes you can pick one up on eBay for a good deal. As an example, I saw a Merc 115hp 4-stroke manual that normally sells on the Mercury website for $84.95 on eBay for $.99 + $4.05 s/h, so I bought it. Has an entire section on the lower unit, including replacing the impeller and water pump. -Ken
A repair manual is definately a good idea. I picked my factory manual up off of ebay for ~50 used but in good shape. I never did find any sections for actual replacement of parts. great for troubleshooting but not for replacement.
