On the OP motor....he says his telltale squirts fine so it can't be a failed keeper.

Two pumps...I see, so the oil injector was a separate component I guess. Too bad it failed.

Got some pics today.
As you can see the top of the impeller housing is crushed. This is the same as it was when he originally got it, different pump but same style( new one). I think the pump is incorrect. However a reputable marine tech says it's right and that's how they are in terms of fitment. Just sounds strange/wrong to me.( this housing and seal(rubber insert) on top reminds me of the exact type that uses a tube to get water to engine from the impeller housing. The seal insert used for tube looks identical as this pump)
The seal(rubber insert) on top of the housing is what seals to the midsection to the pump housing but it gets crushed when tightened up.

On the rear of the midsection there's two outlets. The one on the right( as viewed in the pic)
is the Water pee hole, the left is exhaust. I assume there should be water coming out the exhaust port as well?? Only get water from pee hole. Didn't have time to get the part numbers for the current impeller kit, nor the other ones we tried.

Parts breakdown for your motor looks just like the one your using. OEM #0437907 I included a Sierra pic too

Not sure what's going on.

I will try to find out what the previous # was we tried that looked like this. We tried several, by looking up part. Not sure why I got conflicting #'s but I did. The one we tried that had the same design seal as shown in the pic you provided, was too big. It was like for a 50 or bigger. The seal resembles what I believe would be correct. There seems to be a seal needed that would fit that way and lay flat and even across the surface of the midsection. I will try to get some #'s from previous and current housings..

0340811 is the part # for the seal ( grommet ) between water pump and exhaust housing.-----This should not be a big issue to install the correct parts.

I already did that. See above.
We have more than one as well, just no lower unit on spare..otherwise we would have already checked that.

The housing of the pump is to tall.
As you can see by the pics the outlet portion of the housing is crushed, that's with the rubber insert inside of it. If I removed the insert and bolted up the lower it would still crush the housing. So it seems the housing is to tall. Adding a seal that's not there is only going to add to the current interference.

Still waiting on previous pump #'s from my Uncle.

This is a different pump than what in it now, and what was originally in it when he received it.
We ordered this pump and it was too big. Looked right as far as design, just too big.
