May purchase a 2000 225 Evinrude, The guy says it has 130 psi in all 6 cylinders. He wants $2500 for it. Says it runs strong. Is it a good buy?

Bring a compression tester and test it your self. also check the lower unit fluid if every thing looks good then I would pick it up.

how many hours on it? Mine has 298 and dropped an injector pin into #5, so much for that powerhead. They said if I don't replace all the injectors, I can expect to have the same thing happen within 50 more hours. So who was the idiot that designed the injectors on this? I'd be asking how many hours for sure.

Now that the large horsepower 4 stokes and 2 DFI are starting to show up on the used market the price of 2 strokes are falling like a rock. At $2,500 he?s asking the going price for a decent 10 year old 2 stroke of that horsepower. Add Ficht to the equation and its no bargin.

Those motors are a roll of the dice. Personally, I'd walk
