Well I posted a day or so ago about a 27' cabin cruiser. That did not work out so well. On the way home I saw a 20' parked for sale. Pulled in to find a 20' 1971 Lamar with a 140 HP Johnson OB. Appeared to have the back half of the decking replaced. All other decking felt strong. The interior is basically stripped except for capt chair, admiral chair, gauges and controls. Motor runs strong. Made an offer, offer accepted and will be picking it up tomorrow as long as the compression checks out. Any last words of advice before its finally picked up?

Looks like a great model, lots of character, plenty of potential, and lots of room for the family once its all checked out. I'll post up pics once I get it tomorrow with a list of "what now" questions.

I would ask about the decking. If half of it was replaced one thing I have seen here is that the rest isn't to far behind. Other than that need to see pictures to comment further. Sounds like it might be fun. I hope you enjoy it.
