Not sure this has any bearing on this thread. I have a bottle of Citgo "extra range" TWO CYCLE
outboard engine oil. TCW3 certified. Probably 10 years old.Clearly recommended for about every 2 stroke motor you could think of.Outboards to string trimmers.

People are just so funny....and stoopid. A guy goes out and buys a brand new jetski for 13 grand, or a brand new powerboat with a fancy schmancy outboard for 30 grand, and then he tries to save a nickle by buying a cheap oil that is not manufacturer recommended.

An acquaintence recently sold his boat after owning it for 9 years and he never changed the gearcase oil because that stuff was just too expensive....and he didn't know how to do it anyway and wasn't going to pay the high dealer price to have it done.

Boy, I'm so glad I don't buy used stuff....LOL.

You will be hard pressed ta find any outboard failures due to a "name brand or factory recommended, dino, blend or full syn" oil (oil, not oiler) used in tha right manor..... Get off tha beatin' path and your on your on!........jmo

Then what JimS123 says. I just luv "oil threads".......
