Would it be wise to use 2 cycle SYNTETIC oil in my 1974 25 HP evenrude?

As long as it is TCW-III rated it will work perfectly fine. You may see less smoke, but most everything else will be the same.

Don't forget to mix the oil at a 50::1 gas/oil ratio. 50::1 ratio is 1 pint of oil into 6 gal of gasoline
