2 blade or 3

I have a 1974 mercury 20 hp with a 2 blade prop. what is the advanage of a 3 blade prop? thanks John

The 2 blade is limited to high end performance.When adding weight or skiing
the 3 blade has better all around performance. 4 blade low to mid range will generally do better than the 3.

lot of vibrations and less plaining power with 2 blade props

I have the merc with the 2 blade, just grab the two blade right off the iboats website. I looked into a three blade too, BUT, two blades came with this engine from the factory. I figured they were engineered that way, so I decided to leave it that way.
