2 BBL 305 to 350 engine swap.

My engine is running great. I'm not planning on swapping her out any time soon, but when the time comes what would I do about the carb?

Any idea how many horses and what the RPM range may be on a normally 4 BBL 260+ HP Chevy 350 with a 2 BBL carb on it?

Going from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel you gain about 20hp so I would think the inverse is true as well. You'll probably loose 20hp going the other way. As far as the WOT rpm it would depend on the year and particular model as I've seen slight variations up and down with different model 260's.

Thanks, I didn't know if the HP gain/loss would be the same on the 350 as it would the 305.

Just a guess, but think It would make sense it would be a percentage of original hp as aposed to an absolute across the board value.
