2.6 omc compression question

I have a 2.6 omc seadrive think it's a 235 I had it in my shed for 2 years I just mounted it on my bracket did a compression check on the piston and it gave me exactly 90 LB on all 6 ports, I used a compression check gauge from sears is this numbers normal. when i checked i remove all 6 plugs and sprayed WD40 in the cylinder ports. any sujestion want to avoid a re-built job

Is this a 2 stoke engine? I don't know the model you speak of.

yes the comp could be a little higher but may have the low comp gaskets but is very even sounds like you have good motor if they have been sitting
you will need to clean carbs replace waterpump and thermostats with complete kits start them up and do good decarb may want to spark test all
cyls before fireing and check wiring and grounds must be clean

90 lbs is about right for a 2.6 Sea Drive. We don't really worry about the actual number but rather any differences. That motor used a pretty "soft" head. A good decarb job may be a good idea.
