2.5 HP outboards.

Hi folks. I'm looking at getting a 2.5 HP 4 stroke for my 2.6 meter sib. I recently watched a video reviewing 4 major brands online. The Yamaha Suzuki Honda and selva. All 2.6 HP. Two of these were able to get a 2.7 meter sib to plane. The Yamaha and the selva. Yet they were all 2.5 HP. ?? The two that did had higher cc capacity. ??

I have an old 2.2 hp Merc two stroke, runs perfect, all I can say is....it will go faster than my neighbors 2.5 hp four stroke when we run them on the same 12' Jon boat..

A power stroke ...EVERY ... revolution will always beat a power stroke every ...OTHER... revolution. Think about the power from the extra burned fuel every second ?
