I have a 1999 Mercury Mariner 45 Jet with slop in the lower swing pivot. I have tightened the two bolts with rubber compression fitting on the lower unit. Is there a bearing or bushing in the swing pivot. I just got a Clymer manual and it does not show any reference to repair or replacement. How much of a pain is it to fix and where can I get some direction?
