1999 Evinrude 5hp 4 stroke no spark

After replacing the steering bracket on my motor it has no spark. I have double checked all the connections and can only wonder if I harmed the kill switch when disassembling the tiller handle. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard mykissmania!<br /><br />What you can do is attach an ohm meter across the two wires from the kill switch and see if it'll make/break when pushed.<br /><br />Recheck your grounds also around the ignition system.<br /><br />EDIT: The safety key is in the kill switch I would assume?

OBJ,<br /><br />Thanks for the reply. As it turns out I must have been scatter brained yesterday, took the cdi box off and presto! The ground wire was hiding behind it. Wow I feel like a horses arse.
