I just bought a small boat with this engine on it. I've never had an engine this small and was wondering if there is supposed to be a small air box or something in front of the carb? Right now the carb is just open in front. There are some threaded holes on the front of it like something might bolt on but again I'm not sure, smallest engine I've owned before this was a Johnson 70 and it had an air box on it.
The engine is very clean for it's age and has been well taken care of, so I don't see why the PO would've taken something off the carb, just checking.
