I am in the middle of purchasing a boat with a '98 115 Intruder, carborated, does anyone know is this would be a crossflow or looper without the model number, I do not have that info yet. Also what sort of performace should I expect on a 16.8" Stratos Fish and SKi

thats a looper

check for compression before you buy.

the intake manifolds after a few years bend and start leaking air.
that will cause a lean condition wich will lead to pre ignition/detonation.

if the compression is good take a look at the "plastic" intake manifold for warping.

otherwise its a agreat motor.

model number is E115 GLECM, what type of compression numbers should I be looking for.

difference between cylinders is more important than actual numbers - lowest should be within 5% - 10% of highest. Over 100 would be fine, 130's would be great.

the compression check was #1 125, #2 124 #3 122, #3 123,

very excited picking it up on the 2nd of January, still too cold here in January
