1997 Sunesta 210: depth finder and engine compartment insulation

1. Depth finder unit powers on this year, but displays some random things then goes blank - looking for replacement head unit
   
   
2. Insulation in engine compartment is disintegrating, and wondering if there are kits available to replace - the engine is fine, just getting louder each year

Easiest and least expensive way is to replace FF with one built by the same mfg so that your transducer cable will plug into the new unit. Take a picture of the end on the cable , showing the position of the pin connectors and one of the connection in the back of the FF . When shopping check the connection to make sure it's correct . Airmar does make a transducer spliced cable connector in case things are not matching up .
Sound deadener is probably available at the store on this site .

Unit is a Humminbird HDR 200, so, yeah, unless I can find a lightly-used unit, I'll just have to get something new, including transducer.
