So, im looking at a CC with this engine in a fairly good price.
Seller claim the vro system had been deleted with premix method.
However, ive tired with premix procedure, which thinks about bring back the vro system.
i knew they are like paper, but are those topic about vro system in 80s?
Is it possible to convert back to vro system(including the alarm system)? Are the VRO pump more reliable now? Or how reliable they are?
Do i have to worry about them every day like a spike on my head? or just change a new vro pump start of every season? (Im good with this option!)
Please give me ideas. thanks!

I have the original OMS pump on my '98 Johnny 150HPV6. It works fine.

Hope I don't jinx myself.

Reinstall the latest OMS/VRO pump ...OEM ONLY no Amazon.
when reinstall the latest vro pump, do i need any other things from the seller? or just add a pump and any other wiring harness? exclude the oil tank.

I didn't. I never have a 4 stroke before. But all that i can imagine, adding the cost of changing engine oil and oil filter, and probably harder winterize procedure would be all of them compare to 2 stroke?

Plus, consider its a 21ft sea chaser, 150 kinda small on that boat, its rated for 275hp. my neighbor have a nice honda 200hp for sale, maybe i can just take it and put on the transom lol. more is always better i guess.

Ask your local dealer what an annual service on a big 4 stroke motor costs !

If that motor has the 4 wire OMS pump (likely), a new one will be plug and play with your wiring and plumbing.

If I was worried about a VRO pump I would learn to take it apart / inspect / re-install.-----Perhaps 2 hrs and some new clamps.----Saves a lot of beer tokens.
