Hey yall!
I have a 1997 Force/mercury "tracker" outboard unit I'm having trim issues with. As I'm about to go on plain - I trim up so I don't burry the skeg in shallow water. I started to notice that as I apply throttle- the unit will push itself all the way down under load before I get on step.
I see no leaks at all. And when on the trailer I trimmed all the way up- put my body weight on it- and I can get it to slowly push the ram back down.
Is their something I'm missing with these older trim units? I saw something at one point where a guy mentioned a 2k rpm travel limit , and others have told me internal seal.
Any help is appreciated!
