1997 9.9 evinrude 4 stroke fuel pump

Fuel pump is bad ,parts NLA Found rebuilt pump $ 260.00 Unbelievable parts are not available from BRP!How about replacing old pump with 12v electric?Anybody know gph or pressure specs?

There might be a repair kit.------You might be able to install a pump off another motor.-----One day I might sort out if a Yamaha / Honda / Tohatsu pump can be adapted.

shopevinrude.com shows the fuel pump kit as part number 435070 fitting 9.9/15 4 stroke 1995-2001. 110 dollars Canadian.

looks like a small vacum pump you could try to tap the vacum source and install a nipple and hook up a round Briggs Straton pump for 25$

or buy the kit….

Make sure you are looking at the right motor. 2 different 4 strks one made by OMC and one made for OMC by Suzuki.

Look at shopevinrude.com with your model number the repair kit is there. In the fuel pump diagram it is number 14..

The pump on those 4 strokes is operated by a push rod / lobe on the camshaft.
