Hi Brains Trust, engine starts ok and runs at first ok, when I stop and turn off motor or even just idle I have problems accelerating again. Seems to bog down and splutter. If I give more gas it stalls.
Although if I slowly gas it up it, it splutters and coughs then finally runs ok and will run fine at higher rebs. Until I return to idle when it does the same again. Fuel delivery?? Thank you for any suggestions

hj115sleua, only had it for 4 months. Issue started as a one off, and happens more and more often. I have new coils and plugs fitted. Engine has been serviced.

Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all leads ?----Perhaps test run with a different tank and hose.----Did you install a new water pump impeller 4 months ago ?

Update... Bought spark plug tester. Found no spark on 1 cylinder. Tested ignition coils and found low resistance on a 3 month old coil.
Trying again in the water this weekend.
Thanks for the advice

0.2 and 200, I wasn't getting a spark from the coil with those readings.
That was on an aftermarket coil that was 1 month old. Next purchase is a genuine coil!

My other aftermarket coil is reading 0.2 and 375... Much better
