1996 Johnson J50tleds overheating

Hello this is Chris, I have a 1996 Johnson J50tleds outboard. I am getting a long sounding alarm which forums have indicated that it's an overheating issue. I've changed the impeller, thermostat, thermostat diaphragm, head gasket, temperature sennsor and alarm is still sounding alarm. I've hit the head with infrared temp gauge and was reading around 120 degrees when alarm sounded. Also tried taking thermostat out and sounded alarm immediately. Don't know what else problem could be. Please help

If everything tests ok then it has to be something is grounding. Follow wires and check for shorts....or it could be grounding in the control box.

This assumes no vro

Perhaps the buzzer is defective.

Does anyone know part number for the alarm/buzzer?

I buy the cheapies....polarity protected so test it before you put it in.
